    Olive Harvest Activity Holiday

22 - 29 November 2015

Prices from £97.50 per person, depending on villa occupancy Flights from £120 return - CLICK FOR ITINERARY / PRICES

Join us for a late November break among our olive groves. As last year, the emphasis is on 'holiday' so you'll have plenty of time to relax and explore the local area, and take part in optional activities such as walking in the foothills of the White Mountains, learning to cook traditional Cretan style, try your hand at clay shooting, and of course shopping in the old markets of Chania Town. You can also help us pick a few olives if you feel up to it after all those activities!

Every day, our professional harvest team will be picking and preparing the olives ready for delivery to the local press. You will be welcome to watch and, if you wish, help by bagging up the olives. You can also hand pick olives from many nursery trees that are too small for the professional picking team, and keen gardeners will be especially welcome to help prune trees and clear weeds. There will also be an opportunty to visit the olive press and see the olives being made into the best extra-virgin olive oil you have ever tasted!

Accommodation: you'll stay in the olive grove, in one of our 4 private villas, each with private swimming pool.

November is a great time to experience the 'real' Crete, when tourists have gone home yet the weather is usually sunny and the sea still warm enough to swim in. The safe sandy beach at Almyrida is only 2 km away, and the sleepy village of Gavalochori with tavernas & shops is a pleasant 12-15 minutes walk.

Our villas are fully equipped, each with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and approved by the Greek Tourist Board. They are serviced by our helpful English-speaking staff. See more of the faclities, location - and many photographs - at our sister website

Activity Options: (at additional cost)
